Answer
First, take the pushrods out and then remove the tappets. Looking at the tappets you will see where the pushrod sits. At the other end is a small hole. Take a piece of wire gently push intot he hole and pump the other end. This will bleed them so they are flat. Keep pumping them, about 4 or 5 times, to get allt he oil out and then install the as well as the pushrods. Now, starting at the front exhaust, rotate the motor until the lifter is all the way to the bottom of the stroke. Now turn the pushrod to make it longer until it is just tight and then turn it backout 1 3/4 of a turn. Do this for each one and you will be set. Once you start the bike they will rattle a little until they pump up.
Good luck and happy riding
