Motorcycle Repair: 2005 softail deluxe engine tapping noise, harley dealer, valve adjustment

Hi I just got a 2005 softail deluxe from a Harley dealer they said that they check all the bikes before they sell them. i noticed a slight tapping noise from the engine. it has 13000 miles on it is this normal. or do the valves need to be adjusted.

I can't tell by listening to it from here, but your bike should never need any valve adjustment, they're hydraulic.  Your Harley dealer should have explained all that to you.  Just change your primary and motor oil and filter every 2500 miles and your transmission oil every 5000 miles.  Or once a year chang all three oils if you don't put 2500 miles on the bike in a season. Don't be listening for noises.  These motors run forever.
