Motorcycle Repair: Thank You!, engine improvements, stock points

Question
Mike, I wanted to thank you for the education you have given me on Harleys!  I just bought a '67 FLH and am soaking up all the information I can like a sponge.  Your responses in this site have been invaluable to me in gaining a better understanding of my '67 FLH.  Please keep up the great work and I will keep reading.  In the future I want to do some work om my '67 FLH including engine improvements.  What can you do to a stock '67 Shovelhead to maximize power and reliability (and what do you think it would cost)?  The mileage is unknown.  It runs OK (Bendix carburator with stock points ignition) and I have started it with both the kicker and the electric starter.  Regards,
Jack

Answer
Thanks. Its always nice to hear from a rider.
On your bike, i have stroked many shovels and bored them out to really get a good increase in performance. I also add a S&S carb. As to cost, its hard for me to say what you would pay, since prices are different all over the country. If you are interested, I can quote you a price for my shop. Go to my website and get my number and give me a call
Good luck and happy riding
Mike
