Motorcycle Repair: 3 degree fork cups, triple trees, conversion kit

I have a '05 FXD Superglide.  Can I install 3 degree rake fork cups and a wideglide stock rake triple tree conversion kit and still have ok trail?  How far will this extend my front end?  I saw these fork cups on the internet and they claim by using them it won't affect the trail like using 3 degree rake triple trees would.

3 degrees is 3 degrees, reguardless of how you obtain it as long as the forks are the same length.  You should be ok on the trail. Remember, the farther you go out with the forks the better the bike handles in straight aways and worse in cornering. The closer the forks are its just the opposite.
As to extending your front end you will have to measure. Measure from the neck across the axle to the ground with a string. That a protractor and add 3 degrees to the neck and measure the same way and it will tell you the diatance.
