Motorcycle Repair: 2004 Sportster 1200, stale gas, diameter wire

Question
I have  2004 sPORTSTER 1200, IT RAN FINE UNTIL i PARKED IT FOR THE WINTER BUT NOW IT WILL NOT START,it has spark and is getting gas but it will not as much even fire....

Answer
Alvin, even though you may have spark you should always start with a new set of plugs.  Then you should drop the carburetor bowl, empty and clean it, make sure the low speed jet is clear (with a piece of small diameter wire)and fill the bowl with FRESH gas from another source, not from the tank, before you reinstall it.  Once the bike is running fill the gas tank with fresh gas, at least 91 octane.  You probably just have stale gas in the bowl and maybe partially fouled plugs.
