Motorcycle Repair: wet plug foul, yamaha rd 250, piston ring


Question
Hello  I have a 1973 Yamaha RD 250 street twin stroke
the left side keeps wet fouling plugs,plus gas-oil mix
comes out the end of muffer,could this be cause of a
bad piston ring or head gasket or carb.?????? THANKS

Hi Gene.
 Do you have spark at the offending plug?  You could have a broken plug wire or some other issue with the coil or a short in the ignition system.

 You may also want to check the carbs.  Make sure that they are all set correctly and that they are clean.

Start with that and see what you find.
