Motorcycle Repair: honda 55, clutch motor, automatic clutch

Question
I am trying to restore 2 one is the c105 trail and the other is a sport I believe(looks like a little street bike)
I recieved a motor with the two bodies which I believe is from a ct200 wonder if you can verify for me.Serial number
c200e121238.Its a clutch motor not automatic. Thanks larry

Answer
Larry, the motor is from a C200 Touring 90, circa 1963-65. This machine was the forerunner of the S90 Super 90 street bike.

See: http://100megsfree4.com/honda/h0051/90/c200.htm

The CT200s had an automatic clutch system and were the forerunners of the CT90 Trail 90.

C200 and CT200s have pushrod motors, like those of the C100 and C110.

Oddly enough, here in Hawaii, a C110 is down at the Honda shop with a C200 motor stuffed into the frame! You have to look twice to tell the difference!
