Motorcycle Repair: faulty ignition, amp fuse, 650 yamaha

Question
re: 650 yamaha classic 1999, suddenly the bike shut off while driving in the freeway...found out the 30 amp fuse was burned, therefore replace it w/ a new one, and also got burned.  Now, i figured i should replace the starter relay switch where the 30 amp connects to.  Replaced it w/ a new one and the fused popped again...Now i am stuck w/ no answer, please help me to solve this problem...all i could think of is the voltage regulator...WHAT IS YOUR EXPERTISE ADVISE...thank you very much...henry

Answer
Sounds as thou you have a server dead shot somewhere.
Try disconnecting the alternater output wire,
Try using a piece of wire instead of a fuse (ONLY FOR A SHORT TIME SO YOU DON'T DAMAGE THE WIRING)
Check to see if you can find the short by smell and temperature.
