Motorcycle Repair: true duals vs stock headers?; 07 FLSTCUI, dual headers, step in the right direction

Question
Thanks Mike,
I've already added the V&H dual oval slip-ons, so you're saying adding the true dual headers will be a step in the right direction to improving torque & HP?  (I know not much).  Any opinion about adding the V&H Fuel Pack for mapping on an 07 FLSTCU?  If nothing more, it is cheaper than paying HD for a download for every change.
Thanks.  I hope you got your favorite piece of turkey!

-----Question-----
I was considering Vance and Hines true dual headers for my 07 FLSTCU.  My HD Dealer Parts Dept recommends sticking with the stock headers suggesting I will LOSE low end torque by going to true duals.  I know from your other articles you need to maintain some backpressure to keep up performance.  About 85% of the exhaust flows through the right side header/pipe on the stock headers.  Should I save my money and stick with the stock headers?
-----Answer-----
True duels will increase your low end torque as long as you maintain the baffles. You still have enough back pressure, but you are incresing the flow for both front and rear cylinder.

Answer
Changing at thins point will add hosepwer and torque, but going from the slipons to the true duels will only increase by a little. Probably not enough to notice.
As to the V&H maping. I have never used it. I have a diferent mapping program.
Turkey? I ate way to much
