Motorcycle Repair: connecting rod, suzuki quadrunner, connecting rod

Question
i have a 1985 230 suzuki quadrunner with a bad piston/connecting rod. my repair manual says to replace the crank if you need to replace the rod. there has to be a way to change the rod without the expense of a new crank?
thanks

Answer
Hi Kevin,

In some cases it's cheaper to replace all parts compared with the cost to farm out the machine work and repairing them.

Visit "www.atvfrontier.com" and post your question on their Suzuki forums. The techs and Quadrunner owners there will help you.

You'll have to register before using ATV Frontier. It's free and they don't SPAM you.
