Hi Mike,

1. A few days ago the speedo stopped working. I have a Clymer manual but can't find anything on speedo checking or replacing.

2. The clutch was recently set during a service, however, it used to be very short and now the gears engage right at the end of the cluth. The problem is that the bike moves forward when stationary in 1st gear, struggles to get into and out of third. Is this just a clutch adjustment issue or a gearbox issue?

Thanks for your time and I'm sure I speak on behave of everyone when I say thanks for your help!

On your clutch, its not releasing all the way when you pull it in. It needs to be readjusted.
As to the speedo. Either the speedo is bad, the cable or the drive unit. Jack the bike up and disconnect the speedo cable from the speedo. Spin the front tire and you should be able to see the cable turning. If not then remove the cable from the drive unit and check it for a broken end. If its not broken the you have to remove the front tire and remove the drive unit. Its probably bad
Good luck and happy riding

Answer
Go to the back of the speedo and the cable will unscrew. Then like I said before, raise the front wheel and spin the wheel. If the cable spins then its probably the speedo. If it doesnt remove the speedo from the drive unit (it just unscrews) and check the cable to see if its broken. If its ok then the drive unit is bad
Good luck and happy riding
