Motorcycle Repair: no ignition, 12v battery, test light

i charged the 12v battery on my motorbike without disconecting the leads however i did remove the 10v fuse. when i replaced the fuse the first two blew ,now although the ignition swich seems to be working i have no ignition light. what should i check first

Hi Mike,

Check all fuses and fusable links.

Using a 12 VDC test light, check for power at the ignition switch.

Check the instrument gauge bulbs.

If the problem persists, trace voltage through circuits until you locate the source.
