Motorcycle Repair: Electical problem on hi-performance custom, starter relay, lighting system

Question
Custom hi performance (124ci TP).  Recently when I replaced license plate, I nicked a wire to the taillight that ran under the plate on the bracket.  I found this wire problem after 1) bike died on side of road; 2) replaced battery which was fried; 3) noticed headlight clicking on/off and heat generating at license bracket.  I fixed the nick in the wire and no more heating and the headlight worked fine.  I didn't notice any other problems untiil a the other day.  First, I found the horn wasn't working, so I replaced with a new one...but still nothing.  Then, I noticed the taillight is out and only 2 of the 5 lights under the taillight for the license plate are working (and they are dim).  Now I am thinking it is something electrical, maybe stemming from the first problem with the wire - and I just hadn't noticed until now.  I have guessed it may be the starter relay or one of the fuses.  I found relay online and ordered today.  I can't find fuses like the ones on the bike now.  The 20A is a gold metal case fuse with BUSS 364 UCB-20-T1 only markings.  The 30A is green with BUSS 304 UCB-30-T1.  I can't find these anywere.  Two questions:  1) Is the problem likely the relay or fuses, or do you think it is something else; and 2) ever seen these fuses/breakers and where can I buy them?  All I seem to find is the clear plastic plug type (like for a car).   Any thoughts/help much appreciated as my elecrical knowledge stops at the battery.

Answer
The starter relay doesnt have anything to do with the lighting system.
First, on the horn, Check to see if you hve power going to it with a test light. If not then follow the wire back to the fuses until you find the problem.
As to the brake lights. you might have burned out he bulbs when you had the short. Check to see if you hae power to the bulbs and replace if burned out. If the lights are still dim then you probaly have a ground problem.
As to the fuses, I have never heard of them, but take one to a automotive store and see if you can match it up
Good luck and happy riding
