I have a 79 sportster.  It was running good, I cranked it this weekend to ride.  It warmed up for a minute then cutoff.  It is getting fuel and turns over fine but no spark.

Thanks for your time,
Ricky

Do you have points or electronic ignition?
Mike

Answer
First thing you need ot do is check to see if you have 12 volts to the coil with a volt meter. If you do, then test he coil with a OHM meter. If it tests good then check the wiring to the electronic ignition. If all that is good then the ignition has gone bad.
Good luck and happy riding
Mike
