Motorcycle Repair: 1987 883 SPORTSTER, allen bolt, allen screw

Can you please tell me the specifications for tightening the primary chain?

Answer
Look under the primary and you will see a nut witha  allen screw in it. this is the adjuster. remove the inspection cover on the primary. You should have about 1/2 inch play inthe chain. If not, then loosen the locknut and turnt he allen bolt until you have it. Tighten the locknut and your good to go
