Motorcycle Repair: HANDLEBAR ALIGNMENT, triple trees, honda shadow

Question
SORRY, I DONT OWN A HARLEY BUT MY BIKE CERTAINLY RESEMBLES ONE (HONDA SHADOW 2004).
I RECENTLY DROPPED IT ON THE DRIVEWAY CAUSING SOME MINOR DAMAGE TO THE FORKS AND MIRRORS, HOWEVER, THE HANDLEBAR IS NOT ALIGNED WITH THE FRONT WHEEL AND I HAVE TO MAINTAIN IT TURNED SLIGHTLY SOME DEGREES TO THE LEFT TO KEEP THE BIKE IN A STRAIGHT LINE.
I WAS WONDERING IF I COULD MAKE THE REALIGNMENT MYSELF OR IS IT SOMETHING THAT NEEDS TO BE TAKEN CARE BY THE DEALER? THE TASK  LOOKS SIMPLE AND I FRANKLY DONT WANT TO SPEND MY MONEY IN THAT OVERPRICED DEALER.
DO I NECCESSARILY HAVE TO LIFT THE BIKE IN ORDER TO REALIGN THE HANDLEBAR OR IS IT ENOUGH JUST LOOSING THE BOLTS?

Answer
You probably just tweeked the forks. Loosen the fork bolts which hold the forks in the triple trees. Now put the wheel between your legs and slightly pull on the handlebars the direction it need to go. Keep checking it to see if its aligned. Once you have that done tighten the bolts
Good luck and happy riding
