can you help please

2003 3 door soft top freelander
my rear tail gate window goes down on its own.
when i return to my freelander after it has been parked for a while, the rear window is down.

Hi Clive,

could be cable system problem within tail door.  Could be glass regulator motor, cable pre-load adjusters or cable itself that is giving out.

It's not an easy job to repair from what I've been told.  One owner was able to do this but it took him quite sometime.
