Question
I changed my handle bars, now the bike wont start. I desoldered the wireing at the handle bar switches, but not befor marking down the color code and position of the wires. I did this so as to feed the wire harness thru the handle bars rather than remove the pins from the connector at the head light. I re-soldered all of the the wires back to their original positions at the connector blocks on the switches. Headlight works, low/high beam, horn works, left/right turn signals work, motor kill switch works, starter button works, engine cranks over, gets spark and gas and wants to run until you release the starter switch. I\´ve double checked for pinched wires, loose wires and shorts but to no avail. Can anyone give me any insight to my dilemma, your thoughts would be much appreciated

Answer
If the bike runs with only the starter switch pushed then you have a wire wrong, probably at the kill switch. Turn the ignition switch on and check at the coil to see if you have power. If not then a wire is on wrong or shorted
Good luck and happy riding
