Motorcycle Repair: Turn signals, defective components, ground connections

Question
I have a 1975 Honda cb125s my turn signals will turn on but they won't flash unless I'm going about 50mph or so.  when I turn them on the headlight goes dim.  It also goes dim when I hit the brakes.  I had to replace a battery that was less that 6month old because it wouldn't hold a charge anymore.  I have replaced the flasher for the turn signals and all of the bulbs for fear that it had the wrong bulb in it.  I have checked all of my ground connections.  I read another of the questions posted about this peticular motorcycle and I have some difference with mine.  For instance I don't have an always on headlight, and I don't have and electric starter.

Answer
Hi Jeff,

Perform an output test on the charging system to determine if the system is supplying adequate current and voltage.

Test charging system components separately. Replace any defective components and perform output test again.

Parts may be hard to find for this model.
