Motorcycle Repair: Throttle friction screw, dual cables, knowing what type

Question
Hi; How do you fix a friction screw (throttle lock) when it has no affect on keeping the throttle locked in place? There are two little pipes or cables coming out of the switch housing at the bottom. The one closest to the rider appears loose. How can I tighten it? Thank you

Answer
Hi Don.

Without knowing what type of mounting assembly or setup that you have, I cannot answer your question.  There are quite a few years/makes/models that have dual cables for the throttle, so just saying that you have a dual throttle cable is like saying that you have a broken bike.  Without details, no one can determine the fix, if any.

Give me some details to work with and I can see what can be done.

Good luck and ride safe.
