Motorcycle Repair: Broken adjustment bolt at swingarm, broken bolt, elbow grease

Question
I was replacing the sprocket and chain on my '98 CR125 and I needed to shorten the distance from the front sprocket to the rear spocket.  I loosened the lock nut on the adjustment bolt at the rear of the swingarm (the bolt that fine tunes the tightness of the chain by locating the rear axle), but the bolt was rusted and could be turned.  I tried penetrating oil and some serious elbow grease, but the bolt eventually broke instead of turning.  What can I do to remove and replace this broken bolt so that my rear wheel won't move while riding and so that I can adjust the tightness of the chain again?
Thanks.

Answer
Hi Evan.

If you have a drill, then you need to drill a hole in the core of the bolt and use a bolt extracter (sometimes called an EZ out).  Normally, they come with the correct drill bit so that you don't make the hole too small or too large.

Good luck and ride safe.
