Motorcycle Repair: wheel alignment, dyna low rider, wheel alignment

Question
I have a '98 dyna low rider.two months ago i went down in a slow speed corner. My front wheel washed out on some construction sand dropped in the road.I went over on the left side, scraped the primary cover, bent the handle bars and scrached other parts also dented the tank.I've replaced the bars but have not replaced the tank or primary cover since niether of them leak.My problem is the front wheel seems to wander and pull on parallel defects in the road more than usual.I have checked the torque on the neck bearings and the front wheel.can you give the best way to align the wheels?

Answer
First thing to do is check to see if it looks out of align. Sit on the bike and holding the handlebars straight have somebody look at the front wheel. Another thing you can do is lay a 8' floresent light bulb on both sides of the bike, against the rear tire and, holding the bike straight with the handlebars, measure from the bulb on both sides. It should be the same for both sides.
Next thing you can do is loosen the pinch bolts that hold the forks. You might have tweeked the forks one way or the other. When you loosen the pinch bolts it might pop back.
Good luck and happy riding
