i unhooked the stator and did your test it failed the ground test but passed the ac test when u touch the ac to the batteries it say that it is charging but when u unhook the battery the bike shuts off now if i leave the jumper cables on it is the only way it will stay running the battery is only a month old what could it be if it was the regulater would it test good at the battery terminals

If the stator failed the ground test then it is bad. If you unhook the battery on any harley while its running it will shut down. Harleys run off the battery, not the stator.
You lost me when you said you left the jmper cables on is the only way it will stay running. If you have the bike running and it is only hooked to your battery it will not stay running? Make sure your battery is fully charged when you do this.
