Motorcycle Repair: Gauges&Sprocket, gauge cluster, point changes

Question
I have mounted a new body on my 94fzr I want to mount an r6 gauge cluster. As you know the rc is a digital speedo and Iam wondering what the difficulties may be in making this switch. Also I have read upgrade 3 teeth in rear sprocket or down grade 1 tooth in front sprocket for improved low end torque sacrificing some top end speed. Do I have this information correct?

Answer
Hi Jeremy,

Q:  I have mounted a new body on my 94fzr I want to mount an r6 gauge cluster. As you know the rc is a digital speedo and Iam wondering what the difficulties may be in making this switch.

A:  I don't think it will work on the 94.

Q:  Also I have read upgrade 3 teeth in rear sprocket or down grade 1 tooth in front sprocket for improved low end torque sacrificing some top end speed. Do I have this information correct?

A:  Yup, the ratio is 3:1 (make 1 point changes to the front and 3 point changes rear.) Always replace chain and both sprockets as a set.
