my email address is hsandiford2@aol.com my problem is my cbr 600 f/s (1995)model uk version wont start new battery plugs and air filter fited fuel pump working good spark engine turns over but wont catch it has started once for about a min then died backfired from carbs (small flame)backfires from exhaust lots of smoke also it sounded ruff when it did start

Has the CBR been stored awhile?

Describe the appearance of the spark plugs. Record which plug came from which cylinder.

I suspect fuel in the carburetors has varnished and is obstructing fuel jets and passageways.

We'll go from there.
