Hi Mark,
I bought a bandit 600 6 months ago which was running. i left it in the garden uncovered till now and it is completely dead. the battery is ok and has been recharged. the fuses seem ok too. what I know about bikes, I could write on my thumb nail. wondered if you had any ideas please,

I can help you, but I need more information.

What exactly are you doing and what is happening?
Q:When the ignition key is turned on, do the instrument lights illuminate?
A: no
Q:Does the engine rotate in attempt to start?
A: no
Q:Do you hear any clicks or clicking sound when the starter button is depressed?
A: no
Q:Does the gasoline have an unusual odor?
A:no
Be thorough and describe the above questions and any other details for thorough diagnosis. We'll go from there.

Hi Mark, Im grateful you have replied. Im sorry I took so long to answer, I only read my mail around every seven days using my brothers PC.

 Absolutley nothing happens as if the battery was completely flat or wasnt present. The fuses seem ok and so does the recharged battery.

Hi Jim,

Check for rodnet chewing damge to wiring. I suspect the little boogers knawled thru wires.

Otherwise, look for a loose or disconnected electrical connector.

Check the airbox for nesting materials, too. They love to make the airbox their condo.
