Motorcycle Repair: 1996 yamaha rt180, air fuel mixture, yamaha rt180

I have a rt 180 1996  ,I just  put ring's &  gasket's in it & it  has great compresion but still wont crank  do you have any  sugg ? I'm  all crazy tring to fix it ! My  Email add is  Just HiDee@aol.com

Hi Gary,

From the limited description, I cannot diagnose the problem. I can shoot in the dark and guess....

An internal combustion enigine needs a spark at the exact time, proper cylinder compression, and correct air-fuel mixture. Remove or alter any one or more of these elements and the engine will not start and run.

Check and clean the spark plug. Check for a blue arc with the plug removed and grounded to the engine. Is the carburetor working properly? Check for fuel delivery, varnishing, etc... The list goes on.
