Motorcycle Repair: FLHTCU fork removal, key lock, screwdriver

Question
I have a 96 Harley and need to remove bent forks. How do I take off the Key lock (Steering lock) to remove the plastic cover that hides the fork bolts.

Answer
To remove the switch knob, first turn the knob to ACCESS. Under the switch on the left side, towards the rear of the bike is a button. Whith a small screwdriver press it in and while pushing key down, turn it 60 degrees counterwise. Then lift the knob and remove it.
