Motorcycle Repair: dead miss, kawasaki vulcan 800, dirttrack

i went out to the garage and started my 1996 kawasaki vulcan 800 and it ran fine. i backed it out and shut it off to go inside to get ready to ride. about 10 min. later i returned and restarted my cow and it had a dead miss. iwould like to know the sequence in troubleshooting this problem? i am grateful for people like you, and i appreciate your input!   john

Hi John,

I have an idea of what you've described as a dead miss, but can you be more specific?

Did the engine start and run properly after the miss?

Was the MC stored for the season or for any periods of time?

I'll need you to describe the appearance of the spark plugs. Include history of repairs and maintenance.

We'll go from there.
