Motorcycle Repair: 1998 Honda CR 125, honda cr 125, air fuel mixture

Question
Thanks for taking my question,

My 1998 CR 125 has been spitting dark oil out of the pipe connection above the foot peg as well as the end of the pipe,  The substance eventually landing on the swingarm.  The bike has run very well in the past but did require a new spark plug twice on the last outing.  Clearly the problem is getting worse. I am wondering if my fuel mix is wrong or do I have a bigger problem, such as needing the carb rebuilt/cleaned or even a new top end kit.  If I do need one of those kits, do you know of a good online store?

Thank you for your time

Answer
Hi Conley,

From the information provided and without being present to invetigate, I suspect the the following:

Exhaust pipe needs decarbonized.

Carburetor may need cleaned and/or tuned to fix the following: There may be a overly rich air-fuel mixture causing fluid build-up in the pipe. The needle valve may be worn causing excessive fuel to enter cylinder and pipe. The fuel/oil premix may be incorrect.
