Motorcycle Repair: Honda Shadow Handlebar Size, honda shadow, bill silver

Hi,
I looking to buy a cruise control on ebay for my honda shadow 1983 vt750.

She is in the garage at my folks and it's a couple hundred miles away, and I won't go there for  a while.

I really would like to know the size of the handle bar.

Is it 7/8 in ?
Is it 1 in ?
Is it 1 1/4 in ?

Patrice, I think the bars were still 7/8 back then. The VT1100s had 1" bars later on. If you are ordering online, you should be able to specify the application of the part to the vendor. They have catalogs with all the applications of their products.
