Motorcycle Repair: no spark, honda xl 600r, air fuel mixture

1986 honda xl 600r will not fire up since the last time i rode it. please send any info to help me diognose the problem thanks shermboyz@yahoo.com

Hi Keith,

To run, an engine needs the following elements: adequate cylinder compression, spark at exact time, and correct air-fuel mixture.

Secondary problems may be causing the engine not to start such as; wiring defects, worn parts, varnished carburetor, etc...

With a one sentence description, there's not much to work with. I'll send you a general file on troubleshooting.
