Motorcycle Repair: electrical problem, honda pc800, electric wires

I just bought a salvaged 1989 honda pc800. The bike runs fine with this exception. It runs until the battery drains down. I replaced with a new battery, but it still does the same thing. In the old days it was the magneto, but I have no clue on the rectifier/regulator and stator. I have check as much of the electric wires and connections as I can, but still can't keep it charged up. Do you have any clues?

Hi Norm.
 With a fully charged battery, start the bike and see what the voltage reads at the battery terminals.  If it is less than 13 VDC, then replace the stator.  Based on what you are telling me, it sounds like the stator, anyway, but check it first.
