Answer
Hi Mike,

You'll have to perform a number of tests or hire a tech to do them for you to know what is the cause of the problem. There's too much for me to explain here. To start, buy the Service Manual for the GS750. It will pay for itself with the first repair. Buy Suzuki brand Service Manual for best results. Remember, you get what you pay for with manuals.

In the interim, visit "www.electrexusa.com" and follow the electrical troubleshooting chart. I recommend Electrex USA's parts over factory/OEM parts. See why at this site: "www.thegsresources.com" <--- A great GS resource as the name implies.

Buy or use an accurate test meter (VOM)(multimeter). Test readings will vary greatly with meters, especially cheaper brands. Again, you get what you pay for.

Once you have the service manual and VOM, start testing every wire and component in related circuits. Test ignition switch, on/off sw., all safety sw., ig. coils, pick-up coil, wiring, etc... The manual will explain how to perform each test. Also, gives component test specifications (service limits).

Use AllExperts when you get into the testing process and need assistance.

Respectfully,
