Motorcycle Repair: starter removal, bullitin boards, starter removal

I have a1982 goldwing gl 1100,will the motor have to remove to change the starter in it

Hi Ron, I am not up on Goldwings much although I used to have an 81 GL1100. It had starter problems too but I cant remember if I fixed it or not. I honestly dont know but there are Goldwing Bullitin boards on the net I used to visit them myself, try posting your question on one of them. Good luck
