Motorcycle Repair: wheel bearing replacement, front wheel bearings, hd sportster

I own a 2004 HD Sportster with 3/4" front wheel bearings and bought a 04 Dyna cast wheel with 1" Axle bearings. The OD is the same How do you punch out and swap them? Or does this require a machine shop? Thanks

you will need a special wheel bearing removeal tool and The axle may not work in the lower slider because there is a size difference from the OD of the bearings. You need to make sure the Dyna 04 axle slides all the way into the lower slider on your bike. Johnny
