Motorcycle Repair: Handlebar swap on Roadking, roadking, screws

I just ordered all the chrome controls switch housing covers and new flatter bars for my road king, just curious of how the cover comes off from on top of bars and steering lock- and any tips.

If you are just installing covers then remove the screws that hold the switch housing on then install the covers.

On the steering lock. There is a plate on it called the fork lock plate. It is the flat plate around the keyslot. You have to pry it off and then there are two screws under it to remove the cover.
