Motorcycle Repair: Outer primary fluid change, harley davidson service, drain bolt

Question
---Hey Johnny. I know where my drain plug is for the primary fluid. It's the re-filling that has me. I was told to remove the large plate and fill to the top of the compartment. I was told it equals 1 qt. I cant seem to loosen the screws on either the top plate or bottom. ----------------------

Hello. I need to change the fluid in my outer primary case. There are two plates. I was instructed to remove the larger of the two (prefered way) and fill with one quart of fluid after draining. The head type for the securing bolts is star shaped. I tried both plates and could not loosen them. Are they done with an impact tool. Oh, it's a '95 Sporty.
Answer -
drain screws are NEVER put on with a Impack tool. there should be a drain bolt at the rear of the inner primary. Remember the primary and trans oil are the same. I would get a factory Harley Davidson service manual before you start to work on your own bike. Johnny

Answer
The star shaped screws are call TORQUES  remove the torque screws with TORQUE SOCKETS on the primary chain inspection round cover and remove the cover and pour the transprimary oil throught there with a funnel.  I am very sorry I did not understand you question better, Have a great day  Johnny
