New Yacht Battery Manufacturing Plant Doubles Output
Yacht Battery Company, Ltd., a manufacturer of lead acid batteries for small engines, has completed its second and largest manufacturing facility in Chang Zhou City, China.
Yacht Battery manufactures original equipment and replacement batteries for more than 200 motor sport vehicles including motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), personal watercraft (PWC), snowmobiles, utility vehicles and garden tractors. Yacht Battery also manufactures sealed lead acid (SLAs) batteries used as backup power for small equipment in critical care and energy applications.
The new China manufacturing facility, completed in October 2003, includes a total of 220,700 square feet for administrative offices, factory/warehousing capabilities and state-of-the-art manufacturing and assembly processes.
Production at Chang Zhou City is expected to be 10 million batteries annually. Yacht Battery Company has another manufacturing facility located in Taiwan. The new manufacturing facility holds ISO 9001 certification, AFAQ-EAQA LTD.; UL and VDS, as well as UN Certificates. Headquartered in Taiwan, Yacht Battery has national sales and marketing offices located both in Alpharetta, Ga. and Los Angeles, Calif.
