Motorcycle Repair: Price on a 1000 interceptor, motorcycle hall of fame museum, motorcycle blue book

Question
I have a one of a kind 1984 Honda VF-1000R Interceptor with a special lower ferring, specially made from a professional Bike racer whom was killed in a plane crash. It looks like a bullet bike but it's not, you know that, and is in fare condition but needs very little maintenence. With 32,000 miles. It's Red,White and blue just like Captain America's Bike. I was looking for some advice on a price I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks a Bunch!

Answer
Hi Monica.
Well, you have a very rare bird, indeed.  I would start by Contacting the AMA (American Motor Association) http://www.ama-cycle.org/index.asp and their museum organization, the Motorcycle Hall of Fame museum http://www.amadirectlink.com/museum/ .

They can point you in the direction of the appropriate people that could tell you the accurate value of the bike.

You can get a base value by checking the NADA motorcycle blue book, but that will give you the value of the bike only based on year, model and condition.  It will not include value as a custom machine.

Good luck.
