i am requesting exploded views of a 1983 honda shadow VF750cc.when i removed the clutch basket around the shaft some pieces looked loose. i would appreciate pictures of both inside & outside of the right side case.
i removed the exhaust & part of the frame, pulled the case. in the bottom of the case was a spring, 3" long & appx. 9/16 th in diameter & strong.
what purpose does this spring serve ? where does it attach & to what ? why did it come off ? exploded views & diagnostic tests will be a big help. thank you.

Answer
Hi Tina,

Thanks for sending the question again.

I suspect the springs is a clutch assembly spring. If so, there should be a fastener with it. Usually a bolt with thrust washer attached to it.
