Question
Could you breifly explain to me how to change the tie rod ends on an 89 mustnag gt? Is it hard?

Thank you

Answer
Yes it is hard.  You should have a good air impact to remove them though it is not nessasary.  I have done it without one but its tough especialy on older vheicles that have never been taken apart before.  You must first remove the front wheel.  Also take off the entire brake assembly for extra room.  You will see where the tie rod is attached to the steering rack and where it attaches to the wheel spindle on the A-arm.  First remove it from the wheel spindle.  You will have to take out a pin from the bolt that holds the rod to the spindle.  Its there to keep the bolt from ever loosening up.  That bolt will be realy hard to take off.  You may need a special tie rod puller tool to pry it off once unbolted.  After that you will have to spin the tie rod off the steering rack.  Get a good clamp on the steering rack rod so it doesnt turn at all and then spin the tie rod off.  This is realy tough if the bolt is rusted.  You may have to heat it with a torch.  If you do not have good tools like a good set of half inch sockets and rachet, good wrenches and a good torque bar do not try this.  Also you will have to realign the steering geometry after you are finished, and that is tough to do.  Ive aligned mine myself but its more of just a drag racer and its not that important as i dont drive it much.  If yours is a daily driver it will have to be dead on or you will go through tires very quickly and you will always be pulling on the steering wheel.
