Motorcycle Repair: 1980 Yamaha XS850, clutch disks, yamaha motorcycle

Hey Chris ive got a 1980 Yamaha XS850 and the clutch is slipping.  I bought new clutch disks and was trying to install them but i ran into a problem when trying to remove the alternator rotor to get to the clutch. It says i need some sort of socket puller and i was wondering where i could get one of these or if there is another way of removing the rotor.  Thanks for the help, Jeff

Hi Jeff.
 The tool that you need can be ordered through any Yamaha motorcycle dealership, as can any of the specialised tools for the bike.
 Many of the specialty tools that you need are also used on other bikes for the same type of work.
