Motorcycle Repair: Running a new M/bike, suzuki intruder, cross hatch

Hi!

What is the best way to run in a new bike?

The bike in question will / does not have a rev counter. E.g. 1400 Suzuki intruder?

Hi Teg,

The factory wants gentle break-ins. Keep it at posted speedlimits without getting into the throttle.

My roadrace engines have new cylinders/pistons and go redline right from the get go with no problem. Only difference is degree of angle of cylinder honed cross-hatch. You go figure.
