Motorcycle Repair: Changing front fork seals., honda vt1100 shadow, fork seals

Hi, I want to change the front fork seals on my 1997 honda vt1100 shadow spirit.I have the new seals and replacment oil. I have an idea on how to do this,but have no shop manual to show me the proper steps.Your help on this matter would be greatly appreciated!Thanks Chris!

Hi Brian.
 Most bikes have similar proceedures to disassemble and reassemble the front forks, but they do not all have the same tool requirements.
 You really do need the manual to do this job correctly as the manual will show you, not only the proper disassembly/reassembly proceedures, but the specialized tools for the forks as well as correct torque specs, which are required for correct assembly of the forks so that the will not come apart on you (while riding) or leak again anytime soon.
