Motorcycle Repair: Maybe you can help with a Honda??, hidden fasteners, 1983 honda shadow

I know Honda's aren't your expertise but maybe my problem is a 'motorcycle' specific thing. I just bought a first bike for my wife. A nice, clean 1983 Honda Shadow 500. The problem is I can't figure out how to take the seat off to mount saddle bags? My Magna is simply turn the key to the helmet lock and the seat pops off. Not so for the Shadow, Any ideas?

   Not really that familiar w/ that bike however that seat may very well not be hinged as a storage area.  It may require you to remove a couple of hidden fasteners to remove it.  I'm not familiar w/ what the saddle bag requires for mounting, haven't seen any that are supported from under the seat.
