Motorcycle Repair: no spark but not straight forward, sump plug, float bowl

Question
Hi, recently my kawasaki zzr250 (I think its a ninja in the US) had grit in the float bowl needle seat. This flooded my cylinders, sump, just about everything with fuel. I pulled the crank cover off to empty out the fuel and the sump plug etc before cleaning the carby. After cleaning everything I reassembled it only to find it has no spark. There is 12V to the coils via one wire however the other wire does not appear to show any voltage at all at any position of the crank. My only thought is that the crank position sensor was installed incorrectly or that it was damaged after being immersed in fuel. Is there any way that I can test the crank position sensor? If I need to replace it I can imagine it is going to cost me plenty. Am I missing something else as well?

Answer
Hi Laurence,

I think you're diagnosis is accurate. You can test the sensor by isolating the component and performing a continuity check. The service manuanual will give specific details on testing and ohm resistance of the part.
