Motorcycle Repair: Honda motorcycle, combustion gasses, check engine oil

Question
what does it mean when engine oil comes out of the air filter intake?

Answer
Hi Donna,

Q: what does it mean when engine oil comes out of the air filter intake?

A: Usually the crankcase has been overfilled. Combustion gasses that blows by the piston rings pressurizes the crankcase causing oil to flow through the crankcase vent tube and into the airbox. Most airboxes have capped drain tubes that require periodic draining.

Check below the airbox for such drain. Check engine oil level on level ground.
