my 1973 triumph 750 tiger kicker does not seem to turn over the motor as it should or use too . i have replaced pinion and ratchet gear yet still doesnt turn motor every time kicker is pushed

I don't know what your symptoms were before you replaced the parts or the quality of work that went into the proceedure. The one thing that comes to mind quickly is your clutch adjustment. If there is no free play in the clutch lever, or the clutch itself is mal-adjusted, it may be slipping occasionally when you kick the bike over.

Otherwise, you will have to dig back in there and make sure the racheting mechanism is working freely.
