Motorcycle Repair: 1995 Dyna Wide Glide evo motor/primary on 2003 Hurricane customs softail frame, hurricane customs, softtail

Building bike from bare 2003 Hurricane customs softail frame.  Put 1995 Dyna wide glide evo motor on frame, already have new 5 speed trans for softail frame on its way, but, wondering if the dyna primary is the same length as one needed for softail or if it is shorter requiring a new one for softail frame or if the dyna primary needs modification to fit (since the dyna frame didn't have the center bar between the motor and trans like the softail frame does).

This "Dyna Wide Glide" to "softail" project is becoming a little trickier than expected, so any help you can offer in this area, and even maybe a few "heads up" tips of anything else to watch for/solutions would be greatly appreciated.

The EVO motor for the 1995 Dyna and softtail is the same. The problem you are going to have is the inner primary is different. You are going to need to get a softail inner primary. Since you are going with a softtail bike I would stick with softail parts. If you dont you will run into a fabracation problem.
